“Being part of Angaza Africa Fellowship has been a truly transformative experience for me as a mentor. The Angaza mentorship enhanced my communication skills, emotional intelligence, and youth engagement strategies, while also opening up global networks. As a result, I now mentor young people on climate action with CAVU Africa and serve as a Kenyan Ambassador for the Global Youth Innovation Council (GYIC), expanding my reach and impact.”

We never know just when we need light to find ourselves until the light itself finds and shines on us; that was Angaza for me. It is through Angaza that I found myself, began to know who I am and why I exist and from there, I was able to find my path in life. The mentorship programs I attended were a game changer; they transformed my mind; how I think, perceive life and make decisions. It gave me a good foundation of the person I am today and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Angaza was exactly what I needed to shape my career life; right from knowing what I wanted with my life, to attending the best school at the time to eventually starting my own business. I am living my dream; and building my brand as a fashion designer. I attribute a big part of my success to the foundational lessons Angaza gave me.

“Before Angaza, I was unsure about my professional presentation and how to maintain a decent and intentional digital footprint. Angaza provided me with mentorship opportunities and allowed me to participate in the Climate Innovation Challenge as a mentor, helping me grow personally and professionally. I now carry myself with confidence, approach my career with professionalism, and mentor others with the skills I gained from the program.”

“I have always had the passion to mentor young people, but struggled with how to deeply connect, guide, and communicate effectively with them. Through the Y-Angaza Fellowship, I received practical training, exposure to networks, and valuable peer learning experiences that helped strengthen my leadership and communication skills. Today, I mentor youth on mental health, resilience, and purpose with organizations like Vijana Bora Foundation and YMCA, applying the leadership and communication skills Angaza helped me strengthen and refine.”
