Angaza Africa

Preparing African Youth for Work and Enterprise

Raising a generation of responsible young leaders

Angaza is a mentorship and training organisation raising young leaders who care deeply for their communities and the environment. Through self-awareness, leadership and work-skills programs, we help young people discover their potential, build strong character and gain the confidence to lead meaningful change.

Our journey for young people

Mentorship begins early. Through Kids Fun Days, Mentorship On-The-Go and Angaza Clubs, trained mentors and peer mentors guide children and teenagers in building the life skills for lifelong success, including zero-waste living and care for the environment.

At 18, young people can join Y-Angaza, our work-skills and peer-mentorship program for ages 18–26. Fellows gain real work experience and prepare for employment or enterprise. In our last three cohorts, 80% found gainful employment or started businesses. Many return as mentors for the next generation.

Our track record

Since 2016, Angaza has reached over 2,000 young people through hands-on training and work-experience programs that connect learning to real life.

Working together

With partners and supporters, we’re investing in the next generation, giving young people the skills, values and opportunities to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

of fellows in our last three Y-Angaza cohorts found gainful employment or started businesses

Our fellows now sell clothing, manage social media for clients, and run ventures built on cooking, baking and writing. Others have become trainers and mentors themselves.

How we create impact

We mentor young people from childhood into adulthood, building character, leadership and employability at every stage, with a strict code of conduct and our [Child Protection Policy] guiding everything we do.

Early mentorship
Through [Angaza Clubs and Kids Fun Days], children and teenagers build self-awareness, confidence, responsibility and teamwork in safe, engaging spaces.

Work skills and enterprise
Through [Y-Angaza], young adults aged 18–26 gain work skills, real work experience and the confidence to move into employment or start their own business.

Mentors who give back
Graduates train as [peer mentors] and guide younger participants. Young people who are mentored become mentors, and the cycle of leadership continues.

Together with our mentors, partners and supporters, we’re building a growing network of young leaders creating impact in their families, workplaces and communities.
