Kids Fun Days & Mentorship On-The-Go
Learning, play and mentorship for children and teenagers
Kids Fun Days
Kids Fun Days introduce younger children to mentorship through experiences that combine learning with play. Through games, creative activities and guided group interactions, children begin building foundational life skills such as teamwork, communication, confidence and responsibility. In a fun and supportive setting, they learn important social and personal skills and form positive relationships with mentors and peers.
Mentorship On-The-Go
Mentorship On-The-Go turns school trips into mentorship and learning opportunities for teenagers aged 13–18. Through themed travel and interactive activities, participants explore new environments while taking part in discussions and exercises that strengthen self-awareness, teamwork and problem solving. Learning is connected to real-life settings, helping young people see the world around them in new ways.
Learning through experience is central to Angaza. Excursions take young people beyond the classroom and school grounds, so that what they discuss and practise connects to the world around them.
Families are part of it
Parents are children’s first teachers and mentors. We want what young people practise to carry across home, school and everywhere within the family, so parents are welcome to join Mentorship On-The-Go.
Safe by design
Safety is built into every Angaza program, including our excursions. Mentorship On-The-Go outings are arranged with the school and guided by trained supervisors throughout. Every trip includes:
- parental or guardian consent
- a set ratio of mentors and teachers to young people
- a pre-trip risk check of the location and transport
- a first-aid-trained person on the trip
- a contact person for parents during the trip
All Angaza programs follow a strict code of conduct and our [Child Protection Policy].
Where it leads
These experiences are the first steps in a journey that continues through Angaza Clubs and, from age 18, Y-Angaza, our work-skills and peer-mentorship program that prepares young people for employment and enterprise. In our last three Y-Angaza cohorts, 80% of fellows found gainful employment or started businesses. The confidence, teamwork and communication that children and teenagers build here are the foundation for it.
Impact
Children and teenagers gain confidence, strengthen their social skills, and develop teamwork and problem-solving abilities through mentorship experiences that make learning both meaningful and memorable.
